Secret to Sleep

We get the crew out playing a few times a day and when they run around for 20 minutes or so, they come in and are fast asleep.

This is the perfect weather for it too!

When we got our first Havanese, we used a hallway that was closed on one end and we sat at the other side and threw a toy down the hall teaching her to play retrieve.

It too was the secret to sleeping all night.

The pups are pretty much sleeping all night now but if you allow them to sleep close to bedtime or you don't tucker them out, expect that they may not sleep as well as if you did.

They will also take naps during the day and our last one we allow is around 6pm and then we keep them up.

They have finally adjusted to the time change.

I heard from so many people about their dogs not adjusting from feeding times to sleeping and they are older.

It's strange how this time so many had so long adjusting. I guess it happens.

The pups found our Japanese maple tree and the leaves are falling. They run like banshees and hide underneath it and bring in all the leaves with them. It's a riot.

They pounce and jump on each other and have a roaring good time.

Oh, to be a puppy....
