The pups just turned 3 weeks over the midnight witching hour of the 18th/19th. We are now conditioning them to sunlight. In a week we will be putting them outside for short stints to feel the grass - the garden and even get their feet wet on the 1st step of the pool. Sounds young? We do everything as a progression. Each time we increase the experiences and the time.
The pups seem to be sleeping a solid 4 hours - which is great at this stage. Each are showing signs of their personality from one not liking to be on its back to another wagging its tail at you like no tomorrow but they will all change. We may see grey solidly on some before they go home or see it come in after they go home. The pups will start going home the week of September 4th. But we don't want to think about that now..I know some of you do...but not I. Don't get me wrong. I am excited for them to go to forever homes but we will miss them too.
The pups, as of yesterday weighed:
Male: First born, double mask - 1lb 12 oz
Male: Diamond back (not quite anymore on shape) - 1lb 9oz
Girl: Mostly black - 1 lb 3 oz
Male: Mostly black thin stripe - 1lb 9oz
Girl: Looks Most Like Wasabi - 1lb 12 oz
As you can see, they are all ounces away from each other - thriving and their looks will change and their personalities will unfold. For us, it will be like reading a book that you don't know what will happen next. It's pure fun!
